NPPA has revised the prices of bulk drugs Parachlorometaxylenol (PCMX) and Analgin (Metamizole). PCMX Rs.294/Kg and hence there is no change in the notified price of this bulk drug. The price has been revised from Rs.437/Kg to Rs.458/Kg for Analgin (Metamizole). The prices have been revised on the basis of available information under the provisions of DPCO, 1995. The revised notified prices shall become effective within 15 days from the date of notification in the Official Gazette. All formulators utilizing these drugs in their scheduled formulations are advised to follow the provisions of DPCO, 1995.
